Habitat: Well drained, rock slope with patches of soil with Picea engelmannii trees at the top of the slope, Steep, sloping down to the north with rocky alpine tundra at the bottom, Specimen collected in bright open area, Subalpine in the Southern Rockies ecoregion.
Notes: Height: 30 cm; Flowers: Blue sepals and white petals with blue spurs, no smell.
