Large north-south fen; multiple ownser; many arms; large expanses of Carex stricta. Fen elongated and amoeboid with many small armas and large amounts of edge. Oak uplands often inserted intro prairie fen as peninsulas. Oftern large amounts of open water due to beaver flooding. Asjacent to railroad that runs the entire length of the fen. Phragmites trash hole. Weedy, shrubby, and diverse with generalist species. Reminiscent of densely-packed slum with the Phragmites australis stalks as abundant overlords. Common denizens include Apios americana, Thelypteris palustris, Galium asprellum, and Carex sartwellii. Shrubs include Toxicodendron vernix, Cornus sericea, Spiraea alba, and Ribes hirtellum.
